BACK IN JANUARY I WAS IN NORTHEAST FLORIDA JACKSONVILLE AREA TO BE PRECISE. AS FAR AS A TOURING WORLD WAR II AIRCRAFT TOUR.

DURING THAT VISIT IT WAS A GREAT EXPERIENCE AND A LOT OF GREAT FOLKS CAME OUT TO SEE A FLYING PIECE OF HISTORY. THAT GOT ME THINKING A LITTLE BIT ABOUT THE JACKSONVILLE AREA NORTHEAST FLORIDA IN PARTICULAR. JUST TO SEE WHAT FURTHER INTEREST THERE MIGHT BE IN HAVING THE FACILITY SET UP SPECIFICALLY GEARED TOWARDS THE AIRCRAFT AND ESPECIALLY ONES THAT WERE TIED WITH THE AIR WAR.

WE WENT AHEAD AND REACHED OUT TO BUSINESS OWNERS THAT WE KNOW IN THE AREA BUT ALSO SOME IMPERSONAL FRIENDS IN THE AREA AND WE DID A LOT OF RESEARCH. SO FAR RICHARD HAS SHOWN THAT NORTHEAST FLORIDA HAS OPPORTUNITIES RICH IN AVIATION AND NAVAL HISTORY.

WE ALSO LOOK TO SEE ON THE FLIPSIDE IN ADDITION TO NORTHEAST FLORIDA BEING A GOOD FIT FOR US ARE WE A GOOD FIT FOR NORTHEAST FLORIDA? SO FAR OUR INDICATORS ARE YES, THAT CAN BE TRUE. WE CAN BENEFIT WITH SOME USE TO LOCAL COMMUNITIES AND WORKING WITH THE GENERAL PUBLIC BUT ALSO THE SCHOOLS AND THE YOUNGER GENERATION TRYING TO GET THEM INVOLVED AND POSSIBLE AVIATION CAREERS AND MENTOR THEM AS WELL.

KIND OF WHERE WE ARE WITH THAT. WE HAVE CONVERSATIONS WITH NATHAN IN REGARDS TO FERNANDINA BEACH AND IT FEELS LIKE FERNANDINA BEACH IS A GREAT COMMUNITY THAT IS A WELCOMING FEELING AND THAT'S WHAT WE WANT. WE WANT AN ORGANIZATION AND A COMMUNITY THAT KIND OF A PARTNER IF YOU WELL AND WHAT WE LIKE TO DO AND SO THAT'S WHY WE LIKE TO POSSIBLY CONTINUE THESE DISCUSSIONS TO SEE WHERE IT LEADS US AND SEE IF IT ALLOWS

ON THE FLIPSIDE WE WORK ON THESE ARTIFACTS ESPECIALLY THE AIRCRAFT WITH A LOT OF MAINTENANCE CE INVOLVED. IT GIVES US AN OPPORTUNITY TO SHOW PEOPLE THAT COMPONENT OF IT AND GET THEM INTERESTED IN THE CAREER GOING DOWN THAT PATH BUT ALSO GIVE US THE OPPORTUNITY TO OFFER SERVICES TO OTHER INDIVIDUALS AND ORGANIZATIONS TO HELP SUPPORT THEM WITH AIRCRAFT RESTORATIONS AND SO WE'RE LOOKING AT BRING THAT COMPONENT INTO IT AS WELL

THE TERMINAL FACILITY WAS BUILT AND IT WAS CALLED A KWANZAA HUT AND THE ORIGINAL PLAN.

THAT LOCATION SEEMS LIKE IT COULD BE AN INTERESTING OPTION BECAUSE IT PUTS YOU TO THE OPERATION DECK AND BLEND TOGETHER WELL. THAT'S KIND OF CONCEPTUAL THOUGHT THAT WE HAVE AS FAR AS THE DISCUSSION GOES. IT'S A SUMMER CAMP AND WE SEND A SQUADRON OF 12 KIDS AND THEY HAVE TO BE IN EIGHTH GRADE AND THEY GRADUATE. WE DO HAVE PEOPLE HERE ON THE ISLAND AND AT THE AIRPORT THAT ARE INVOLVED WITH THE STEM PROGRAM AND WOULD LOVE TO LOOK INTO THAT WITH YOU.
