PROCLAMATION – NATIONAL HOMELESS PERSONS’ MEMORIAL DAY
Declaring December 21, 2014 as “National Homeless Persons’ Memorial Day.” Ms. Robyn Andrews, Chair of the Board of Directors of the Coalition for the Homeless of Nassau County, will be present to accept the Proclamation.

RESOLUTIONS
6.1.
HERITAGE TREE DESIGNATION
RESOLUTION 2014-172 DESIGNATING THE TREE LOCATED IN THE MEDIAN OF VIA DEL REY AND AMELIA ISLAND PARKWAY AS A HERITAGE TREE; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Synopsis: Grants the designation of a “Heritage Tree” by the City of Fernandina Beach.
6.2.
BUDGET AMENDMENTS – VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS
RESOLUTION 2014-173 APPROVING AMENDMENTS TO THE BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2014-2015; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Synopsis: Approves the transfer of funds to correct account coding and for the purchase of new Police and Sanitation equipment.
6.3.
VACATION AND ABANDONMENT OF UTILITY EASEMENT – THE PARK SUBDIVISION
RESOLUTION 2014-174 VACATING AND ABANDONING A PORTION OF A UTILITY AND DRAINAGE EASEMENT AS SHOWN ON “THE PARK” SUBDIVISION PLAT; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Synopsis: Abandons and vacates that certain portion of the utility and drainage easement.

ORDINANCE – FIRST READING
7.1.
PUD MODIFICATION – AMELIA PARK
ORDINANCE 2014-34 MODIFYING THE AMELIA PARK PUD TO ADD A NEW HOUSING TYPE IDENTIFIED AS “SINGLE FAMILY HOUSE – TRACT I”; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Synopsis: Changes the Amelia Park Regulating Plan to include the “Single Family House - Tract I” housing type.

  • PURSUANT TO RESOLUTION 95-32, IF AN ITEM IS NOT ON THE AGENDA IT REQUIRES A FOUR-FIFTHS VOTE OF THE CITY COMMISSION DECLARING THE ITEM AN EMERGENCY BEFORE ACTION CAN BE TAKEN.
  • ANY PERSON WISHING TO APPEAL ANY DECISION MADE BY THE COMMISSION WITH RESPECT TO ANY MATTER CONSIDERED AT SUCH MEETING OR HEARING WILL NEED A RECORD OF THE PROCEEDINGS, AND, FOR SUCH PURPOSES, MAY NEED TO ENSURE THAT A VERBATIM RECORD OF THE PROCEEDINGS IS MADE, WHICH RECORD INCLUDES THE TESTIMONY AND EVIDENCE UPON WHICH THE APPEAL IS MADE.
