BUT FOR PEOPLE GOING ON ANY OF THE CHARTER BOATS, FOR THEM TO COME FROM 7TH STREET TO THE MARINA, HOW ARE THEY GOING TO GET THERE? RIGHT. YOU KNOW, A LOT OF PEOPLE WHO GO ON THE CHARTERS CAN'T MAKE IT THAT FAR.

SO UNLESS WE PROVIDE A SHUTTLE OR SOMETHING ELSE.

IT'S, I MEAN, IT'S GOOD TO EXPAND BUT NOT TAKE.

WELL AND THEN SUPPLIES AND EQUIPMENT AND THOSE TYPES OF THINGS TO DRAG AND ALL THAT.

CHARLIE GEORGE, THE CITY ENGINEER, IS WORKING ON A DESIGN RIGHT NOW.

I MET WITH HIM LAST WEEK ON FRIDAY TO DESIGN THE NEW BOARDWALK REPLACEMENT THAT WILL HAVE SECTIONS OF GRADING SIMILAR TO WHAT WE HAVE IN THE TROUGH.

AND THE IDEA IS TO REDUCE SOME OF THAT PRESSURE FROM THE WAVE ACTION SO THAT THE WATER CAN PASS THROUGH THOSE GRATES OR EVEN BE REMOVED AND NOT CAUSE SO MUCH DAMAGE.

HELP ME UNDERSTAND WHY IT'S BENEFICIAL BECAUSE THE CITY COULD FUND IT? OR THE PARK AND REC THEY COULD FUND IT EASIER THAN BEING AN ENTERPRISE FUND.

I DON'T KNOW WHAT IT TAKES TO GO FROM ENTERPRISE FUND BACK TO PARK AND RECS, BUT IT WAS PARK AND RECS ALL THE WAY UNTIL 88 THERE.

SO OASIS IS BUDGET IS AGAINST THEIR BUDGET.

IT DOESN'T INCLUDE ALL THE COSTS.

THERE ARE DEBT SERVICE DREDGING RESERVE FUND, WHICH IS BASICALLY A CAPITALIZATION RESERVE FUND.

RIGHT. THAT NEEDS TO BE.

FUNDED ANNUALLY, AND THAT IS OUTSIDE THE BUDGET.

SO MAKING PROFIT AGAINST THEIR BUDGET DOESN'T REALLY COVER ALL THE COSTS.

IF YOU SWEEP THAT INTO AN ENTERPRISE FUND, IT QUICKLY BECOMES UNAFFORDABLE.

THAT EXERCISE IS NOT TO RAISE THE RATES TO $5 A FOOT.

EVERYBODY WILL JUST SKIP OVER US.

OR TO PUT YOU GUYS OUT OF BUSINESS WITH A $39 PER FOOT PER MONTH.

AND RIGHT AT THE END OF THAT IS THE VENTURA PROPERTY.

NOW, IF YOU SINCE YOU'RE NOT MAKING ANY MONEY ON IT AT THE MOMENT AND IT'S JUST SITTING THERE VACANT, AT LEAST YOU COULD DO IS USE IT FOR PARKING.
