I'M JUST WORRIED WE'LL GO INTO A FRESHMAN SLUMP OR MY FRESHMAN YEAR IN COLLEGE I DIDN'T GO TO SCHOOL LAST QUARTER AND I WENT TO CALIFORNIA.

SO I HOPE THAT DOESN'T HAPPEN.

BUT IT'S HARD TO KEEP MOMENTUM WHEN I DON'T GET PEOPLE INTERESTED THAT WANT TO GET INVOLVED.

WE HAVE 3 OR 4 MORE PROSPECTS FOR THAT POSITION, REALLY BEING PICKY ABOUT IT BECAUSE I WANT TO MAKE SURE WE GET THE RIGHT PERSON. IT'S A KEY ROLE FOR THE CLUB.

AND AS I'VE SAID IN THE PAST, IF WE DON'T HAVE A GREAT GOLF COURSE, THEN NOTHING ELSE REALLY MATTERS.

SO IT'S REALLY, REALLY IMPORTANT.

AND I'VE DRIVEN THE COURSE WITH SOME OF THE PROSPECTIVE SUPERINTENDENTS AND THEY'VE ALL SAID IT'S ALL FIXABLE.

I MEAN, THEY HAVE ALL BEEN VERY CONFIDENT WITH WHAT THEY SAW, THAT IT'S REALLY JUST THE PROTOCOLS THAT THEY WOULD PUT IN PLACE THINGS FROM AERIFYING WITH LARGER TINE HOLES, PROTOCOLS WITH SPRAYING, MOWING PROCEDURES. THERE'S ALL DIFFERENT KINDS OF THINGS THAT MY INCLINATION WAS THAT WE WEREN'T DOING THAT CORRECTLY.

I'VE BEEN HERE FIVE MONTHS NOW AND IS THE COMPACTION OF THE TURF, THE GREENS, THE FAIRWAYS.

IF YOU DON'T AERIFYING WITH A LARGER HOLE, BASICALLY A LARGER TINE, THE GROUND WILL GET COMPACTED, WHICH THEN THE ROOT SYSTEM CAN'T GROW PROPERLY. SO THE FORMER SUPERINTENDENT SAID, NO, WE JUST DO THE SMALL ONES OR THE SPIKING OR SLICING DIFFERENT THINGS LIKE THAT. THAT'S WHAT WORKS WELL AT THIS COURSE.

BUT EVERY OTHER SUPERINTENDENT I'VE SPOKEN WITH, PEOPLE I KNOW IN THE INDUSTRY, PROFESSIONALS THAT HAVE COME OUT HAVE STATED THAT TWICE A YEAR THEY DO THE LARGER TINE AND THAT'S WHAT I'VE EXPERIENCED AT SIX OTHER COURSES FOR THAT REASON IS YOU'LL SEE THESE GREENS THAT ARE JUST ROCK HARD OR, YOU KNOW, YOU CAN'T, YOU KNOW, THE GRASS WON'T GROW.

A LOT OF THE EDGES AROUND THE GREENS ARE THE MOWING PROCEDURES.

SO THAT WOULD EXPLAIN WHY GREENS THAT ARE THREE YEARS OLD ON NORTH ARE, YOU KNOW, PERHAPS NOT IN THE SHAPE THEY SHOULD BE AFTER BEING USED FOR ONLY THREE YEARS.

CORRECT. GOTCHA. YEAH.

SO THOSE ARE THINGS THAT WHOEVER WE HIRE, I'M GOING TO MAKE SURE WE DO IT THAT WAY.
